Leonie explains why she chose Flux Partners:
“It has everything to do with the atmosphere. The first time I was invited on a Friday afternoon at four o’clock. There was a lot going on, everyone was busy with their own work, but you could also see people chatting with each other. I really fell for that sense of togetherness. I stayed for the weekly wrap-up, where everything that’s going on is openly shared. The culture I experienced then really convinced me.”
What does Flux Partners offer experienced tender professionals?
Michelle: “Flux offers experienced tender professionals the opportunity to challenge yourself again. You can choose tenders different from what you’re used to, ranging from infrastructure tenders to public transport tenders. You get the chance to work with many different companies, both various contractors and commercial organizations.”
As an experienced consultant, you don’t just take responsibility for projects, but also for mentoring juniors. Michelle explains: “Being a senior at Flux mainly means taking the lead on projects at clients and therefore also being responsible for juniors, making sure they are properly guided and brought up to speed, both in terms of process and content.”
Nieck shares what appeals to him at Flux: “As an experienced consultant, you also gain a lot of experience yourself during projects. You learn the Flux way of tendering and can apply it yourself when you are end-responsible for the EMVI process. What also really appealed to me is the complexity of the projects Flux works on.”
Challenging work and core values that truly live
Working at Flux Partners is dynamic, and every tender brings new challenges. Michelle experiences the work as challenging and varied:
“It’s intellectually challenging because you’re constantly presented with different subject matter, and clients expect you to be up to speed quickly. Sometimes you deal with topics that are not entirely your area, which makes it more difficult, but that’s exactly what makes it fun to really dive into it. Another challenge is working with a different team every time, new people, new ways of working, and different contractor cultures. That’s challenging, but also a lot of fun. Your skills are really put to the test.”
Bastiaan emphasizes how the core values of Flux Partners are truly embedded in the organization: “What makes Flux special is the group of people who work here and the fact that the core values really live. Leonie appreciates the freedom to choose your own path: “As you progress in your career, you know better where you want to go. That’s why I think it’s great that Flux gives you the space and encourages you to choose your own path. If you want to specialize in something, you’re given that opportunity. At Flux, we also pay a lot of attention to seniors among ourselves. We learn from each other, take the time to sit together, and reflect on the challenges we face.”

Michelle talks about the team: “Tender management is a very ambitious and energetic group of people. Everyone is highly driven, wants to win, and enjoys challenging clients on content. You really notice this when we have an internal outing with a competitive element, everyone gets super fanatical. That suits me perfectly; I’m the same way. Flux really consists of a wonderful group of people.”
