Project controls

You have plenty of project information, but does it provide control?

In complex projects, planning, risks, finances, scope and capacity collectively determine success. When these aspects are not managed in an integrated manner, unexpected issues arise that impact time, cost and quality. Flux Partners helps organisations establish control and create clarity before problems arise.

Create cohesion in your project controls

Overview and a management tool that serves your project: that is what project controls by Flux Partners delivers. We connect key control aspects such as planning, the risk register and financial reporting. This connection creates the overview that shows you how the project is performing and when you need to take action.

After all, a project cannot be managed through separate components: it requires control, overview and an appropriate strategy. The challenges we address with our integrated project controls often include the following:

Our approach: Integrated project controls as the foundation

Creating insight

Risks often show signs before they have an impact. Flux Partners identifies them at an earlier stage, allowing you to take corrective action before a discussion arises.

Creating structure

For us, a contract is a tool for making better decisions: it makes agreements, responsibilities and risks explicit.

Integrating control measures

Where overview has been lost, we first restore insight and clarity. Only then do we determine which measures are needed. We organise project controls as an integral part of the project organisation: we connect the right control aspects, embed them within the project organisation and create the support that effective project controls require.

Active steering

Flux Partners does not view project controls as retrospective reporting, but as timely adjustment based on current insights. In our dashboards, we connect all project control aspects so that executives, project managers and teams have access to up-to-date and reliable management information. This allows us to consolidate and make all information accessible: we not only provide reports, but also help you make the right decisions.

What makes the difference

Our specialists ensure greater predictability and improved control of risks, deviations, reporting, planning, finances and decision-making. At every level, we create clarity in the information flows within your project, ensuring that those involved have the information they need at the right time to manage the project efficiently.

Our experienced Project Controls Managers provide comprehensive support. Together with your own employees, they form an Integrated Project Controls team, supplemented where necessary by Flux employees, and manage this team as part of the project team. These Project Controls Managers are also ideally suited to embedding Integrated Project Controls within your organisation.

At the same time, many Flux consultants can be deployed in individual disciplines to complement your project controls team. We fulfil roles such as Risk or Interface Manager, Document Controller or Systems Engineer.

Sustainability in Project Controls

In addition to project controls, we support organisations across a range of sustainability topics. For contractors, we carry out Environmental Cost Indicator (ECI) calculations and prepare Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to help reduce environmental costs. For clients, we support the development of sustainability requirements for tenders.

We also guide contractors and clients in achieving zero-emission construction sites, applying our knowledge of the latest version of the CO₂ Performance Ladder (CO₂PL) as a certification system.

Our sustainability expertise, ranging from ECI and LCA to zero-emission construction and CO₂PL, is applied to support both clients and contractors.
