Sustainability is increasingly becoming a contractual condition or important award criterion for tenders (non-price criteria). At Flux Partners, we support both the private and public sectors in their transition to sustainability.
What is a sustainable project?
A sustainable project is a project that has the least possible impact on the environment, nature and society as a whole. By setting the right criteria in a tender, a sustainable project can be realised. Examples of sustainable criteria in tenders are:
- Reduce CO₂ emissions;
- Use of sustainable energy;
- Use of sustainable materials;
- Less (harmful) use of raw materials;
- Reuse of equipment;
Sustainability at Flux Partners
At Flux Partners, we execute sustainable projects for the public and private sectors. We do this by making sustainable performance measurable, monitoring this performance and adjusting it if necessary. Making sustainable performance measurable takes place in four steps:
- Organizational strategy for sustainability: We define the sustainability goals and draw up a strategy based on that. We also set indicators to monitor the goals.
- From strategy to operation: We determine which methods and tools are needed to achieve the goals. We then translate the strategy into concrete project goals.
- Optimizing environmental costs: We make the expected environmental costs transparent. Using this insight, we draw up contract requirements and award criteria, with a view on people, nature and the environment. Based on the insights gained, the tenderer can make design and material choices in order to optimize and minimize environmental costs.
- Monitoring and implementation: We monitor the environmental effects and circularity, set up dashboards and draw up Life cycle analysis (LCAs).
