Request for Tender

Request for Tender contains an outline form all the information about a tender. It is a more detailed description of the contract. For example, the request can provide information on how to assess the tender. It may contain information on:

  • the contract description;
  • the planning of the award procedure;
  • the course of the award process;
  • deadline for Q&A about specific aspects of the tender;
  • when and how an information notice will be issued;
  • description and specifications of the contract (requirements);
  • the award criteria;
  • the application of the (sub)award criteria (the requirements) and their mutual weighting (i.e. the assessment framework) in the event of best value for money;
  • Stated requirements including, for example, requested references.

The Request for Tender is the first thing you should read when planning to participate in a tender!

Overview of the project requirements

Overview of the project requirements provide a detailed overview of all wishes and requirements that the Contracting authority has regarding the project to be realised. The purpose of an Overview is to define the preconditions and limits prior to the project. To ensure that described requirements and wishes are interpreted as the Contracting Authority intends, these requirements and wishes are described in a SMART way.
